A decree published today, Sunday, states that Denis Pushilin, the head of the Ukrainian Donetsk region annexed by Russia, has imposed a curfew in the area. The decree specifies that Denis Pushilin has prohibited the presence of civilians on the streets and in public places from 11 PM local time until 4 AM from Monday to Friday. The decree also bans gatherings, crowds, protests, and any other collective activities in the parts of the Donetsk region controlled by Russia, unless permitted by the "executive headquarters to counter military threats in the Donetsk People's Republic."
Additionally, the decree signed by Pushilin on September 18, enforces "military oversight on mail and messages sent through communication systems and monitoring of phone calls." The decree also orders the establishment of checkpoints and security posts on the borders with the Luhansk and Zaporizhia regions.
