The company "Meta," owner of the social platform "Threads," is preparing to equip the platform with new features, including a personal messaging service, according to a report by blogger Leah Haberman in her ICYM newsletter. Haberman mentioned, citing sources within Meta, that the platform has formed partnerships with a limited group of content creators. She also obtained documents consisting of 13 pages that provide insight into the new features, how they work, and their potential benefits.
The blogger indicated that "Threads" is set to introduce four new services, which include the ability to display trending topics, advanced search, direct messaging between users, and decentralization that allows users to communicate with several social platforms and digital services without the need to create separate accounts on each service or platform. This feature relies on their freedom to move their personal data between different digital servers, without Meta having control over the data.
