American software company Adobe announced in a statement early today, Sunday, that co-founder John Warnock passed away yesterday, Saturday, at the age of 82. The cause of Warnock's death has not been disclosed. Adobe's CEO, Shantanu Narayen, expressed in an email to the company's employees, "It is a sad day for the Adobe family and the entire industry as he has been a source of inspiration for decades." Warnock co-founded Adobe with Charles Geschke in 1982. He stepped down as CEO in 2000 but continued to serve as chairman of the board, a position he shared with Geschke, until 2017.
