Sunak's office added in a statement: "They emphasized the need to avoid any escalation in violence across the region and agreed that leaders have a responsibility to do everything they can to prevent this." It continued: "They agreed on the urgent need to deliver food, water, and medicine to suffering civilians." Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is traveling to Egypt today as part of a tour in the Middle East, where he will assert that there should be no escalation of violence in the region following the Hamas attack on Gaza.
