Iran Summons Swedish Ambassador in Protest Against "Desecration of the Quran"

Iranian state media reported that the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the Swedish ambassador to Tehran today, Thursday, "to strongly protest the desecration of the Holy Quran." Kanani told the Swedish ambassador during this summon: "We strongly condemn the repeated desecration of the Holy Quran and Islamic sanctities in Sweden, and we hold the Swedish government fully responsible for the consequences of stirring the emotions of Muslims worldwide." He added that "the continued offense against Islamic sanctities and the spreading of hatred in this manner is a complete example of organized violence and hostile actions against the two billion Muslims around the world."
