ADNOC Aims for Zero Emissions by 2045

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced today, Monday, that it has advanced its target for achieving net zero emissions by five years to 2045 and pledged to reduce methane emissions to zero by 2030, even as it plans to increase oil production. ADNOC stated that its total emissions from Scope 1 and 2 in 2022 were approximately 24 million tons of carbon dioxide, marking the first disclosure of its kind.
