Biden Expresses Anger and Sadness; Requests Security Team to Gather Information

The U.S. President stated that he "feels anger and deep sadness regarding the explosion at the Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza and the tremendous loss of life that resulted." In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he mentioned that upon hearing the news, he spoke with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and "directed my national security team to continue gathering information on what exactly happened." He emphasized that "the United States unequivocally supports the protection of civilian lives during conflict, and we mourn for the patients, medical workers, and other innocents who were killed or injured in this tragedy."
