Ford Motor Company plans to recall 422,000 SUVs in the United States due to the potential failure of the image processing unit, which would prevent the rearview camera images from being displayed. The recall includes models such as the "Explorer" and "Lincoln Aviator" produced between 2020 and 2023, as well as the "Lincoln Corsair" model from 2020-2022 equipped with a 360-degree camera. The company previously recalled vehicles for the same reason in 2021 and 2023. Last year, Ford updated the software of the image processing unit in an attempt to resolve the issue. Ford stated today that it is "working with suppliers to identify the root cause of the problem and provide an appropriate solution as quickly as possible."
