Two sources, one affiliated with the 444th Brigade and the other with the Special Deterrence Force, reported that the force released Mahmoud Hamza, the commander of the brigade, today, Tuesday. His arrest yesterday, Monday, led to violent fighting in the capital, Tripoli. Witnesses from Reuters in the city stated that the sounds of fighting did not calm in areas of central Tripoli immediately after Hamza's release.
