Title: Mikati During His Call with the Palestinian President: What Is Happening in Ain al-Hilweh Constitutes a Severe Offense to the Lebanese State

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati held a call today, Saturday, with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, discussing the developments occurring in the Ain al-Hilweh camp. During the call, the Prime Minister emphasized the "priority of halting military actions and cooperating with Lebanese security agencies to address the existing tensions." He stated, "What is happening does not serve the Palestinian cause at all and constitutes a severe offense to the Lebanese state in general, especially to the city of Sidon, which hosts our Palestinian brethren. In return, it is required that they deal with the Lebanese state according to its laws and regulations and maintain the safety of its citizens."
