Pope Francis Sends a Message to China During His Visit to Mongolia

Pope Francis called today from Mongolia for increased efforts to protect the environment during a historic visit to this predominantly Buddhist Asian country. The 86-year-old pope stated in his speech that Mongolia's tradition of living in harmony with nature and its creatures represents a "valuable contribution" to the "urgent efforts that have become unavoidable for the protection and preservation of the planet."
