Arab foreign ministers are holding a preparatory session today, Wednesday, in Jeddah, ahead of the 32nd Arab League Summit. Yesterday, a meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent representatives began, chaired by Saudi Arabia, succeeding Algeria, to prepare for the foreign ministers' meeting for the summit. The permanent representatives reviewed the political aspect of the summit's agenda and discussed draft resolutions on various agenda items, which include several main themes concerning various aspects of Arab joint action, primarily the developments related to the Palestinian issue and the Arab-Israeli conflict, especially the severe violations faced by the occupied city of Jerusalem. They also discussed the developments in Sudan, praising the Saudi and Arab efforts to mediate between the parties in Khartoum. Security aspects and combating terrorism in the region are a significant priority, considering the repercussions of the global crisis and the positions of Arab countries regarding the situation in Ukraine.
