Iraq: Army Helicopter Crash and Crew Injuries

The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced today, Monday, that a helicopter crashed during military training at the Kut Air Base. The statement mentioned: "During a training flight carried out by the heroic army aviation using Bell Jet Ranger helicopters designated for training at the Kut Air Base, one of them fell due to a technical malfunction." It added: "The crew of the aircraft sustained minor injuries, and a committee from the ministry was sent to investigate the circumstances of the incident and determine the technical malfunction that led to the crash."
