US President Joe Biden said on Friday that American officials are trying to determine how the plane of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Russian Wagner military group, fell, resulting in the death of all passengers. Russia reprimanded Biden earlier on Friday after he expressed no surprise at Prigozhin's death in a plane crash and warned Washington against making such statements. In response to a reporter's question about the reason for Prigozhin's plane crash, Biden said, "I can't speak freely about this matter specifically... We are trying to determine the causes accurately, but I have nothing to say." Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Prigozhin's family on Thursday, breaking his silence following the crash of Prigozhin's plane after he led a rebellion against Russian military leaders two months prior.
