Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian During Raid in West Bank

Medical officials reported that Israeli forces killed a Palestinian during a raid that led to clashes in the city of Jenin in the West Bank. The Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Health stated that one of its employees sustained serious injuries. According to relatives of the victim, who was 32 years old, he was a prominent member of the "Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades," the armed wing of the Fatah movement. The Israeli army claimed that its soldiers came under fire and returned fire during a mission to arrest suspects from the "Islamic Jihad" movement. Witnesses noted that Israeli forces detonated a house belonging to the victim’s family and a bakery. Violence in the West Bank has escalated over the past 15 months as Israel has intensified its raids, while Palestinians have carried out attacks and settlers have committed assaults on Palestinian villages.
