The police in South Africa began pursuing those involved after the murder of six people and the injury of four others in a shooting incident. The police stated that the shooting occurred on Tuesday in the KwaNobuhle area in the Eastern Cape province on the outskirts of the town of Kariega, where three unidentified assailants entered a yard and opened fire on those inside.
Details revealed that three assailants shot two women at the gate of the yard, one of whom died from her injuries. They also opened fire on eight others, resulting in the deaths of five. The police mentioned that the motive behind the incident is still unknown.
The Eastern Cape police inspector requested the residents to assist the police in locating the perpetrators, stating, "These criminals should not be allowed to roam freely in our streets any longer." South Africa records approximately 20,000 murder cases annually.
