The Minister of Emergencies in the Russian-controlled city of Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine, Alexei Kostrobitzky, stated that "a fire broke out in the wooden roof of a university building in Donetsk following a Ukrainian bombardment yesterday, Saturday." He indicated that "they are using 12 water tanks, three ladders, and 100 firefighters." He revealed that "Ukrainian forces used cluster munitions in the attack that caused the fire," and noted that "there were no people inside the building at the time of the bombardment." He added, "The hardest part is that the roof is wooden, so the fire spreads quickly." Russian state news agency reported Kostrobitzky and emergency services saying that "the fire spread over an area of approximately 1,800 square meters before being brought under control early this Sunday."
