Denmark Contributes Over $14 Million to Supply Arms to Ukraine

The Danish Ministry of Defense announced today, Monday, that Copenhagen will contribute 100 million Danish kroner (14.1 million dollars) to a joint European request for ammunition under an EU project to assist Ukraine. Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen stated in a release that "with the cancellation of the EU's defense reservation last year, Denmark has the opportunity to fully participate in European defense cooperation, which includes the European Defense Agency." The European Defense Agency reported on Friday that seven EU member states requested ammunition to deliver 155mm artillery shells to Ukraine and replenish depleted Western stockpiles.
