Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati arrived in New York today, Monday, to represent Lebanon at the 78th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Lebanese delegation includes Foreign Minister and Emigrants Abdullah Bou Habib and the Acting Deputy Head of Lebanon's Mission to the UN, Jan Mourad. According to the planned agenda, Prime Minister Mikati will deliver Lebanon's address to the Assembly and hold a series of meetings and discussions with the heads of participating delegations. Additionally, the Prime Minister will participate today in the opening session of the "UN Forum on Sustainable Development," where he will speak at 4:30 PM New York time (11:30 PM Beirut time), and then he will meet with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the UN headquarters.
