Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stated that "the Israeli entity collapsed on October 7, and now it lives on American life support. What the world is witnessing is a comprehensive American war against Gaza." He wrote on the X platform: "In Riyadh, I told my Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry that today is our day of testing, and it is expected that Egypt will open the Rafah crossing to send water, medicine, food, and fuel to Gaza."
