French President Emmanuel Macron's office stated that the president warned his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi in a phone call on Sunday against any escalation or expansion of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, particularly concerning Lebanon. The statement added, "The President warned President Raisi against any escalation or expansion of the conflict, especially to Lebanon." It further stated, "Iran bears responsibility in this regard, given its relations with Hezbollah and Hamas. Iran must do everything possible to prevent the situation in the region from exploding."
