Two Egyptian security sources and a medical source confirmed to "Reuters" that the evacuations of injured residents of the Gaza Strip and holders of foreign passports through the Rafah crossing to Egypt have been suspended since Saturday. One of the security sources and the medical source noted that the suspension of the evacuations came after an Israeli strike on Friday hit ambulances in Gaza that were being used to transport the injured. The Rafah crossing leading to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt is the only exit point from Gaza not controlled by Israel. Two of the sources indicated that aid trucks are still able to enter Gaza.
