An EU official announced to Reuters that bloc officials discussed diversifying oil stocks and forming a reserve of diesel and heating oil during an emergency meeting of the EU oil coordination group. The meeting was held today, Friday, at the invitation of the European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson, to assess potential supply risks in the event that the war between Israel and Hamas leads to a wider regional conflict.
