Pope Francis Calls for an End to the Conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh

Pope Francis called today, Wednesday, for an end to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, a separatist region inhabited by ethnic Armenians that is part of Azerbaijan. During his weekly sermon, the Pope stated, "I once again urge all relevant parties and the international community to silence their weapons and do their utmost to find peaceful solutions." The region has faced attacks from Azerbaijani forces in the past twenty-four hours.
