Today, Monday, inspectors from the Ministry of Economy and Trade - Consumer Protection Directorate conducted inspection rounds in cheese and dairy factories, Turkish delight, and confectioneries in the city of Nabatieh and the towns of Arab Salim, Nabatieh Fouqa, and Kfar Tebnit, in the presence of the Directorate's head, Mohamed Beitar, accompanied by elements from the State Security apparatus - the regional directorate in Nabatieh.
Three samples of dairy products were taken for testing in an accredited laboratory to ensure their safety. A report was filed against the owner of a sweet factory in Kfar Tebnit for failing to meet standard specifications and for not adhering to general cleanliness conditions. The owner was issued a warning and given a ten-day deadline to rectify the legal situation, under the threat of shutting down the factory if the required actions are not taken.
