"Kalashnikov" Produces New Military Helmets with High Safety Specifications

The Russian "Kalashnikov" company announced that it has begun mass production of the Elbrus-T helmets made from titanium, which offer high resistance against shrapnel. In a statement, it clarified that "the titanium helmets have several advantages over helmets made from other composite materials, including high protection from sharp-edged shrapnel such as from hand grenades, mines, and high-explosive shells."

The company added that "the new helmets comply with the BR2 - R 57560-2017 Russian protection standard, surpassing their competitors in titanium helmets. The new technologies used by the manufacturers will reduce the production cycle to 3 months." It also noted that the "Steel" division of "Kalashnikov" is currently one of the leading institutions in Russia in the field of producing materials designated for weapons and special military equipment, developing various types of dynamic and electromagnetic protection armor, as well as equipment for radiation protection and protection from high-precision guided weapons.
