The media department of the Lebanese Forces party issued a statement affirming "the claim by Ms. Gina Shamas that the leader of the Lebanese Forces party, Samir Geagea, smuggled 16 million dollars out of the country between August and September of 2019." The statement highlighted that "this news is 100% false, fabricated, and has absolutely no basis in truth, and the Lebanese Forces party will file a lawsuit against Shamas for criminal defamation and slander."
