Poland to Abandon European Union Plans for Resettling Illegal Migrants

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki indicated that his country will abandon the European Union's plans to resettle illegal migrants. Morawiecki stated, "I will go next week to the European Council meeting, where I will firmly say 'no' to the ridiculous plans of European bureaucrats and the civil platform." He clarified that the migration agreement "includes the resettlement of illegal migrants in EU countries," adding that "the issue of accepting illegal migrants is one of the issues in the national referendum that will take place on October 15, in conjunction with the parliamentary elections."
