Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko announced today, Friday, that "the Director of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Serhiy Krok, has been dismissed from his position." The minister did not provide a reason for Krok's dismissal but stated that it "came after an internal inspection of the agency," adding that "Krok's deputy will replace him as acting director." Klymenko mentioned that "further decisions regarding personnel will be made after the internal inspection is completed," adding that "the agency continues to provide its services as usual." The agency plays an important role in efforts to save lives, clear debris, and extinguish fires following ongoing Russian shelling and airstrikes.
