Minister of Finance in the caretaker government, Youssef Khalil, issued five decisions to extend deadlines and permits. The details are as follows:
1. The deadline for payment of the annual licensing fee for shops selling alcoholic beverages in sealed containers is extended until March 20, 2023.
2. The deadline for payment of the annual flat and proportional licensing fees imposed on establishments selling alcoholic beverages by the glass for on-premise consumption is extended until March 20, 2023.
3. The deadline for payment of the first installment for the year 2023 of the annual fee for operating fliber machines and similar machines is extended until March 20, 2023.
4. The deadline for submitting smoking permit requests for tourism institutions and payment of the fee for 2023 is extended until March 20, 2023.
5. The deadline for submitting permits for the travel departure fee by air and sea, as well as the payment of this fee for December 2022 and January 2023, is extended until March 20, 2023.
According to the media office of the Minister of Finance, "These decisions come to allow concerned taxpayers to submit legal declarations and pay the required fees and to spare them from penalties for late declarations or payments."
