Sheikh Baqir Al-Maqdisi, a prominent preacher of the Hussaini podium and Islamic cleric, passed away today, Wednesday. The deceased was one of the most prominent Hussaini speakers, born in the holy city of Najaf in 1939. He joined the Najaf seminary in 1958 and remained attending lectures there after graduating. He began his preaching career at the age of 19 and traveled between Basra, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Muscat, the UAE, Lebanon, London, and Iran. He also obtained a Ph.D. in Islamic Awareness from the International Islamic University in London.
