The South Korean capital, Seoul, witnessed an estimated gathering of about 400,000 fans of the "BTS" K-pop group from around the world on Saturday to celebrate the band's tenth anniversary. The group has temporarily suspended its activities as two of its seven members are serving mandatory military service, but this did not prevent the organization of various celebratory events last week to delight the band's extensive fanbase, known as the "ARMY."
At an event held in Han River Park in Seoul on Saturday, tens of thousands of fans explored various exhibits, including a wall detailing the band's history, costumes, and numerous commemorative statues, many of which featured their signature purple color. While the band's songs played in the background, fans danced under the shade of the trees.
Later in the day, the group's leader, "RM," read messages from fans, performed, and received calls from his bandmates "Jungkook" and "V" during the celebration. He told the fans, "Time passes very quickly. Everything has changed and I have changed a lot personally. I’m not sure how I will deal with such feelings, but my love for you will not change."
