Borrell Arrives in China to Discuss Bilateral Relations and Global Challenges

He stated, "I just arrived in China to co-chair the EU-China strategic dialogue with my counterpart Minister Wang." This visit comes days after the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas, prompting Borrell to hold an emergency meeting of EU foreign ministers. China, for its part, has called on all parties to "cease fire." Borrell's visit, which has been postponed twice this year, is expected to last until Saturday and will include discussions with the foreign minister focusing on issues such as bilateral relations, global challenges, and trade.
