The Hikmeh Beirut team won the title of the "Doha Avenue International" basketball tournament by defeating their traditional rival Al-Riyadi Beirut 77-75 in a thrilling final. Hikmeh played the match without key players Ali Mezher, Sergio Darwish, Mark, and Khoury "Bobo" due to injuries, marking the team's first title after years of absence since 2016.
The match was attended by the Lebanese Ambassador in Qatar, Mrs. Farah Berri, the President of the Qatari Federation, Mohammed Al-Mughaiseeb, the President of Hikmeh Beirut Sports Club, Eli Yahchouchi, the former Vice President of Hikmeh, Judge Dani Sharabiya, and the Secretary of Al-Riyadi Club, Tammam Jaroudi, along with a crowd of approximately 3,500 Lebanese spectators.
During halftime, Hikmeh Club President Eli Yahchouchi presented a green club jersey signed by all the players to Ambassador Berri and announced her honorary membership in the club. After the match, the honorary president of the club, MP Jihad Beqara'douni, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Nadim Murad, congratulated President Yahchouchi on the victory. The former Chairman of the Board of Trustees, MP Ghassan Hasbani, also called to congratulate, and the Hikmeh supporters celebrated in Doha with the players in a family atmosphere.
