Increase in Inflation in Germany

Inflation in Germany rose in June, breaking a steady decline that had been occurring since the beginning of the year. Data from the Federal Statistical Office revealed today, Tuesday, that harmonized consumer prices rose by 6.8% year-on-year in June. The core inflation rate, which excludes volatile prices such as food and energy, reached 5.8% in June, up from 5.4% in May.
