Delta Airlines is facing a legal pursuit and may have to pay a substantial financial settlement due to the inappropriate behavior of a passenger on one of its flights.
According to details, a 16-year-old girl and her mother have filed a lawsuit against the airline, claiming they were harassed by a passenger during a flight, as reported by the British newspaper "Daily Mail".
The lawsuit states that the harassment occurred on a flight departing from New York to the Greek capital, Athens. The mother and daughter allege that the harassment was initiated by a drunken passenger who had consumed 11 alcoholic drinks.
Initially, a flight attendant did not respond to the mother’s complaint about her daughter being harassed and only asked her to remain patient.
The mother and daughter are seeking financial compensation amounting to two million dollars. In response, a spokesperson for the airline stated that they do not have any comments on the incident, which is still under legal review, and emphasized that the airline does not tolerate any inappropriate behavior by passengers towards others on board their flights.
