The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kananian, confirmed that the Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has invited Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to visit Riyadh, according to the Iranian news agency "IRNA". Kananian addressed the possibility of Raisi's visit to Saudi Arabia during a press conference on Monday, stating that the Saudi monarch has officially invited the President to visit the country, but a date for this visit has not been set. He added that planning for this visit will occur at the appropriate time, within the framework of the political will of both countries, noting that "relations between the two countries are progressing step by step." He also mentioned that the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian to Saudi Arabia will take place in the near future to discuss regional, international, and economic issues.
