Suspension of Classes in Some Areas of Saudi Arabia

The General Administration of Education announced the suspension of classes in some regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to inclement weather conditions. The administration confirmed the suspension in schools across various grades in the governorates of Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah, and others, as well as in technical training institutions in Makkah, Jeddah, Rabigh, Al-Lith, Al-Ula, Taif, Maysan, Rania, Turbah, and Al-Jamum. The suspension applies to all regions and governorates, including schools and universities, as well as King Saud University for Health Sciences in Al-Ahsa. Classes will shift to remote learning via the Madrasati platform for all students and staff of schools and education offices, based on reports from the National Center of Meteorology, and in order to ensure everyone's safety. Meanwhile, the National Center of Meteorology forecasts continued thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain today, accompanied by active winds and hail, leading to potential flooding in parts of four regions.
