Title: Downing of 5 Drones in Crimea and Ongoing Shelling in Belgorod

A Russian-appointed official in Crimea, which Moscow annexed from Ukraine in 2014, announced the downing of 5 drones in the Dzhankoy area of Crimea. Oleg Kryuchkov, an advisor in the Moscow-appointed administration in Crimea, stated in a Telegram post: "There is damage to windows in several homes in a residential area due to the incident that occurred overnight." Russia has a military airbase near Dzhankoy, and Ukrainian officials have long asserted that the city and its surroundings have become the largest military base for Moscow in Crimea.

In Belgorod, Russian Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported today that Ukrainian shelling in the region continued overnight after two people were killed the previous night, and hundreds of children were evacuated away from the border. Gladkov mentioned on Telegram: "The situation was unstable overnight," noting significant damage in the towns of Shebekino and Volokonovka due to the shelling. He added that "more than four thousand people were relocated to temporary accommodations in the area adjacent to Ukraine to the south and west."
