The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "China's senior diplomat Wang Yi met with American diplomat Henry Kissinger in Beijing today, Wednesday." It further added in a statement that "Wang told Kissinger that the United States needs to draw a clear line regarding separatist activities seeking the independence of Taiwan if it truly hopes to achieve stability in the Taiwan Strait."
