Four Countries Urge Iran to Revoke Ban on International Inspectors

The United States, Britain, France, and Germany called on Iran in a statement today, Monday, to "revoke its decision to prevent a number of United Nations inspectors from working in the country." The statement, published by the British government, said: "Iran must immediately reverse its dismissal of the inspectors and fully cooperate with the agency (the International Atomic Energy Agency) to enable it to provide assurances that Iran's nuclear program is entirely peaceful." This comes at a time when the International Atomic Energy Agency is dealing with long-standing serious issues related to undeclared nuclear materials and activities in Iran, which Iran has been unable to address for over four years.
