The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture announced today, Friday, that Ukrainian farmers have harvested more than 11 million tons of grain so far this year. The ministry stated that 11.2 million tons of grain have been harvested in the new season to date, noting that the largest amount was harvested in the Odesa region in the south of the country. The Ministry of Agriculture reported that the harvest includes 2,881,300 tons of barley and 8,063,100 tons of wheat. Ukraine is one of the largest producers and exporters of grain in the world, but its agricultural product exports have declined due to the Russian invasion and the blockade of Black Sea ports.
