Information Minister in the caretaker government Ziad Mikati emphasized that "no one wants war, but it could be imposed on us, and we must be ready for it." During a joint press conference with member of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, MP Hassan Fadlallah, in the town of Maroun al-Ras, Mikati stated: "War is not just weapons and missiles; it is also media, and a significant part of this battle is informational. We rely on the media and the importance of not rushing to publish news." He noted that "objectivity does not mean that we should be neutral; what is happening is criminal and constitutes genocide, and the government's stance on Thursday was against this genocide." Fadlallah announced that "any Israeli aggression against Lebanon and targeting of our country will not go unanswered," affirming that "the resistance will exercise its national right to defend its country against any potential Israeli aggression."
