Lebanon's official stance firmly denounced the events that occurred today at Al-Aqsa Mosque. The caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati stated that "the Israeli forces' raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque is a transgression of all prohibitions, calling for the conscience to intervene to stop what is happening, especially in this holy month." He continued, "Our hearts are with the worshippers from the Palestinian people who are holding onto their rights in their land and sanctities, no matter how long the aggression and cruelty of the aggressor lasts. Falsehood has its turn, and truth has its turns."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants also condemned the Israeli police's raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the assault on the worshippers present there. It viewed the Israeli officials' ease in violating the holy places of Muslims and Christians in Palestine and escalating assaults on their homes, properties, and lands as a result of Israel's repeated impunity.
The ministry called on the international community to "shoulder its responsibilities in halting these assaults and holding the Israeli government accountable for the crimes it commits and the resulting consequences."
