The White House budget director Shalanda Young confirmed today, Tuesday, that there are no signs of a potential extension to the deadline for the U.S. government to meet its obligations, set for June 5. U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen mentioned on Friday that the government would default on its obligations by that date if Congress does not raise the country's debt ceiling of $31.4 trillion.
