British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced today, Monday, that "at least six British citizens have been killed after Hamas militants attacked Israel nine days ago," describing the incident as a "massacre." He added about the attack: "We must call it by its name. It was a massacre." Sunak continued: "The horrific nature of these attacks means it is difficult to identify many of the dead, but with a heavy heart, I must inform the House of Commons that at least six British citizens have been killed, and ten others are missing, and it is feared that some of them may be among the dead." He confirmed that "the British government will increase its aid to the Palestinian people by one-third, providing an additional £10 million ($12.18 million)." He told lawmakers: "We will increase our aid by one-third with an additional support of £10 million; there is a severe humanitarian crisis unfolding, and we must respond to it," adding: "We must support the Palestinian people because they are also victims of Hamas."
