Upcoming Energy Projects Between Oman and Iran

Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr al-Busaidi, announced that Oman and Iran will collaborate to activate the bilateral agreements made between the two sides, noting that "the main goal is to develop cooperation in various fields, including oil, gas, renewable energy, agriculture, industry, and maritime navigation." During a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, al-Busaidi confirmed that "the main objective includes establishing direct relations between Omani and Iranian ports." A statement from the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that "Oman and Iran are studying cooperation in energy and minerals." The statement revealed that "Oman's Minister of Energy and Minerals, Salim bin Nasser al-Oufi, met with Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji to discuss the development projects of the Hengam-Bakha field and the export of gas to Oman."
