A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Iranian city of Mirand, according to reports from the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). The earthquake occurred at 17:43 local time near the Turkish border. Preliminary data indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake was in Mirand, Iran, at a depth of approximately 7 kilometers below the surface.
