Lebanese Forces Party leader Samir Jumblatt indicated today, Wednesday, that "Prime Minister Najib Mikati, with his decision yesterday to form a committee to study the issue of land boundary disputes, has exceeded the limits of authority in a manner that is not understandable, as the issue of land boundary disputes falls under the jurisdiction of the judicial authorities, not the political ones." He clarified in a statement: "The file of determining the land boundaries in the Qurna al-Suda area has been under the judicial authority for three years, and the surveying and determination work is ongoing, albeit slowly. It would be better if we understood this decision issued by President Mikati, which exceeds all authority limits."
