Major Diplomatic Revolt by French Diplomats Against Macron

A French newspaper has revealed that several French ambassadors in the Middle East have sent a letter criticizing President Emmanuel Macron for his absolute bias toward Israel in the ongoing conflict. According to "Le Figaro," the memo from the French ambassadors expressing their discontent with Macron's policy regarding the Gaza war constitutes a diplomatic revolt, as they believe Macron's alignment with Israel marks a departure from Paris’s historically balanced stance toward both Israelis and Palestinians.

The newspaper noted that about 10 French ambassadors in the Middle East and some countries in the Maghreb collectively signed a memo expressing their regret over Macron's alignment with Israel. In this context, a diplomat in Paris who reviewed the memo stated that it was submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be conveyed to the Élysée Palace, describing the document as a "diplomatic revolt."

The ambassadors emphasized in the document that France's support for Israel from the outset is not well received in the Middle East and represents a break from a historically balanced position between Israelis and Palestinians.
